I am a learner. I always like to explore every sequent of my life. Taking some knowledge from my activities is the best way to be connected with world outside. I know that I have a big responsibility as a student in Indonesia. Being one of the intellectual people in Indonesia makes me understand that there are needed many competent people with their brilliant capabilities to grow this country. And I will be the one of them.
Talking about responsibility, I am sure with a statement that students have duty to not only study at their school but also apply their knowledge in their social communities. There are many fields that they could choose to be their suitable area to do their implementation. Without implementing their abilities, students will not finish their responsibilities. And talking about responsibility is tightly connected with one thing which called leadership.
Fulfilling my responsibility means I have to optimize all capabilities which I have. Optimizing those capabilities is absolutely impossible to do if we could not manage and control ourselves. And the best weapon to do that is leadership. This is true that everyone is a leader. And good leaders actually can implement their leadership straightly.
Leadership is about managing all capabilities that I have. By knowing and optimizing them, I can do more for many people outside. The best way to practice my leadership is by contributing in social organizations. In social organization, I can meet many kinds of people with distinctive characters, many types of problem that I can try to find the solution, and so many ways to understand the other people’s behavior. By doing those stages, I really can know more how to manage my emotion, how to control my ability, and how to be a good person who can be accepted in her community.
By learning more about leadership, I am trying to reach my vision. It is about being a problem solver for my country. I believe that I can be a person who can contribute everything I have, even though it just a little capability. I know that I have potentials like the other people, and I can use them to give something for my nation. To reach my vision, I have made some of my targets to get. My closest target is being a GE-Scholar, so I can learn more about leadership and take more ammunition for the next challenges. Then, I have a target to graduate in February 2013, of course with excellent marks. Then, from that step, I will go to the next, being a teacher in Indonesia Mengajar Program. It has been my dream since the program was launched. I will reach this mission to fulfill my sense of social and to contribute in education for Indonesian. I am really care with Indonesian children and their needs of education. That is the important one. I feel so bad with the condition of Indonesian education now. There is much unfairness in the reality. I want all Indonesian can also get the basic education like the other more providential people. I will proud to be one of them who struggle for it. I also believe that I can get many life lessons as I give my contribution in Indonesia Mengajar Program.
My other mission is developing good business. My objective in that mission is to provide new job opportunity for Indonesian people. I want to make my business as big as it can reach. So, the job opportunity will be wider too. I really interest in entrepreneurship. Making some innovation and bringing them to the public as a qualified products are the good ways to make a mutualism relationship. By doing entrepreneurship, I also can do social responsibility. That will be the other way to give some again to the people outside. I have had some business idea that I love to realize. They are business of Education Park for children and cake shop. In the future, I will realize it.
By those statements above, it can be conclude that education and entrepreneurship are my objectives. And I will always learn and learn to optimize my leadership and capabilities to give my best contribution. One thing that I want to prove is my awareness that I, as a student, am the hope for my nation. I have a responsibility that will be my greatest achievement if I could fulfill it. And the most important is I am ready to give my full commitment to give a better one for my Indonesia. This is my hope and my promise.
